Free ESG Training Course for Small and Medium Enterprises
Jointly Operated with Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 10th that it will operate a 'Free ESG Training Course for Small and Medium Enterprises' employees. This training course is operated as part of the 'Business Agreement to Support ESG Management for Small and Medium Enterprises' signed between Kbiz and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute in July 2023.
The training course is divided into introductory and advanced courses, and will be conducted over a total of six sessions from April to November to enhance the understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management for small businesses and micro-enterprises. The introductory course is designed to build basic knowledge of ESG management, including fundamental concepts of ESG, the latest issues, and related laws and regulations. The advanced course is structured to improve SMEs' ESG response capabilities from a more practical perspective, covering ESG data collection and management methods, selection of important topics tailored to SMEs, and establishment of safety and health management systems related to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.

Lee Myung-ro, Head of the Human Resources Policy Division at Kbiz, said, "This training course has a two-step education system from basic to advanced to cultivate ESG experts tailored to small and medium enterprises," adding, "We focused on providing education that can be immediately applied in the field, such as the basic concepts of ESG, greenhouse gas emissions calculation, sustainable management report writing practice, and establishment of safety and health management systems."
