Korea Participates as Guest of Honor at Banff World Media Festival
Exclusive Showcase Operated by KOCCA for Domestic Companies
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 10th that Korea will participate as the guest of honor for the first time at the Banff World Media Festival, showcasing the excellence and status of K-content. It is a broadcasting and video content event representing North America. Global broadcasters, platforms, producers, and investors gather to share industry trends across all genres, including entertainment, documentaries, and digital content. Various programs such as the Rocky Awards, considered one of the world's top three broadcasting and video awards, pitching sessions, conferences, business meetings, and networking are also held.
The Korea Creative Content Agency will operate an exclusive showcase for domestic content companies at this year’s event, which takes place over four days starting June 8. Additionally, it supports speakers representing the domestic content industry to participate in the conference. An official stated, "Through various programs, we plan to introduce Korea’s unique and differentiated content to global buyers and producers."

The agency is recruiting participating companies until the 21st. Six production and distribution companies that own broadcasting and video content and wish to enter the North American market will be selected. An official said, "We plan to provide customized support focused on practical outcomes, including pre-consultations, one-on-one business meetings and buyer matching, networking with global distributors, and participation in the showcase."
