Unification Minister's Visit to Japan from 9th to 11th... "Strengthening Cooperation on Unification and North Korea Policies"
Minister of Unification Kim Young-ho is scheduled to visit Tokyo, Japan for three days starting from the 9th, where he will meet with Japanese government officials and key members of the parliament.
According to the Ministry of Unification, during this visit, Minister Kim will visit the Foreign Correspondents' Club to hold a briefing session on unification and North Korea policies, and will participate in a Korea-Japan expert forum attended by the Ministry's Future Planning Committee members, as well as hold a meeting with Korean residents in Japan. In particular, it is reported that he will also meet with Japanese government officials such as Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi Yoshimasa and Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi during his stay in Japan.

The Ministry of Unification stated that Minister Kim expects this visit to contribute to strengthening Korea-Japan cooperation on unification and North Korea policies since the launch of the Ishiba Cabinet, and to promote joint efforts between the two countries to resolve the issues of abductees and detainees.
The Ministry added, "We plan to pursue multifaceted consultations with the international community, including high-level international unification dialogues with major countries regarding unification and North Korea policies, to expand international support for Korean Peninsula unification." It also said, "Through these efforts, we will steadfastly pursue principled unification and North Korea policies based on constitutional values."
