Busan Veterans Affairs Office Creates Coloring Book for 80th Anniversary of Liberation... Collaboration with Pukyong National University Veterans Promotion Supporters
Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Namil Lee) has collaborated with the Pukyong National University Veterans Affairs Promotion Supporters (Sae Min Seo, Yoo Jin Lee, Na Kyung Lim, Seo Young Jang, Yuna Jang) to produce the "Historical Symbolic Memorial Facilities Coloring Book with Bobo" in order to raise public interest and understanding of local memorial facilities.
This coloring book is not just a simple coloring book; it is an educational content that allows readers to learn about the historical significance of major memorial facilities in the Busan area, with introductions and explanations for each facility. In particular, the Veterans Affairs Office mascot "Bobo" acts as a guide within the coloring book, introducing the memorial facilities so that children can approach them in a more interesting and friendly way.
Produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation this year, the coloring book was created to reflect on the sacrifices of those who dedicated themselves to independence and to more easily convey the historical symbolism of memorial facilities.
The coloring book, consisting of a total of 14 pages, features six representative memorial facilities in Busan, including the Busan Anti-Japanese Student Movement Memorial Tower, the Busan March 1st Independence Movement Memorial Tower, and the Baeksan Memorial Hall. Each facility is accompanied by simple line drawings for easy coloring and brief explanations, all designed by the Pukyong National University Veterans Affairs Promotion Supporters.
A representative from the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "This coloring book goes beyond a simple activity; it will serve as an opportunity to learn about our region's valuable history and the values of patriotism and veterans affairs in everyday life. We will continue to discover and develop veterans affairs content that can be participated in and empathized with by various generations, practicing living veterans affairs in daily life."
