After the dismissal of President Yoon, a local alley commercial district in Gwangju is launching a voluntary discount event. Amid political turmoil, merchants who have been affected are starting to take action to revive the local economy.

View original imageThe Association of Alley-Type Store Merchants in Buk-gu, Gwangju, announced on the 7th that they will hold a discount event of up to 10% to commemorate the president's dismissal. The association stated, "Merchants in the alley commercial districts, who suffered a direct blow after the December 3 martial law, have voluntarily come forward to stabilize the local economy and boost domestic demand."
The discount event will take place for five days starting from the 10th at around 100 stores in the Buk-gu area, with each store offering discounts ranging from 5% to 10%. Specific discounted items and details on how to receive the discounts can be found on notices posted at each store and through social networking services (SNS).
