Relief Funds to Be Used for Daily Necessities and Housing Support for Displaced Residents
Staff members of Samsung Changwon Hospital at Sungkyunkwan University have donated a total of 50,040,000 KRW to support recovery efforts and aid residents affected by the recent large-scale wildfire in Sancheong, Gyeongnam.
This donation was made possible through the voluntary participation of Samsung Changwon Hospital employees. Numerous suggestions were received to extend a helping hand to local residents impacted by the disaster, prompting the fundraising campaign. The hospital's medical association and a group of volunteer artists also joined in, resulting in a total donation of 50,040,000 KRW.
The relief funds were delivered to the Gyeongnam branch of the Korean Red Cross and will be used for recovery activities in the wildfire-affected areas of Sancheong County, as well as for supporting displaced residents with daily necessities and housing assistance.
Oh Juhyun, Director of Samsung Changwon Hospital, stated, "The collective will of our staff, who could not stand by and watch our local community suffer, led to this voluntary fundraising effort. We hope this contribution will provide some support to those affected by the wildfire."
