In addition, the city actively promoted safety guidelines through the Jinju City website, disaster electronic display boards, BIS system, and meetings with local leaders, and encouraged public awareness of safety by collaborating with local autonomous disaster prevention groups to carry out campaign activities.
Out of the 752 locations inspected, issues were identified at 112 sites. Of these, 74 sites have completed on-site corrections and repairs, 25 are currently being addressed, and 13 are planned to be resolved as quickly as possible before the rainy season through securing necessary budgets.
A Jinju City official stated, “Although the thawing period inspection has ended, continuous safety management of vulnerable facilities is necessary according to seasonal risks such as heavy rainfall. We will continue to actively conduct safety inspections to prevent accidents. We also ask citizens to cooperate in safety management by reporting any signs of facility abnormalities through the Safety Sinmungo and other channels.”
