HiteJinro Opens New Integrated Research Center... "Laying the Foundation for 100 Years of Future Growth"
Integration of Hongcheon and Cheongju Research Centers
Expectations for Enhanced Research Efficiency
HiteJinro's new integrated research center, which will serve as the foundation for its next 100 years of growth, has opened.
On the 3rd, HiteJinro announced the opening of a newly constructed integrated research center to strengthen its research and development capabilities. The center consolidates the existing Hongcheon beer research center and Cheongju soju research center to improve research efficiency and enhance competitiveness in the alcoholic beverage and new business sectors, aiming to lead future growth.
The newly constructed integrated research center began construction at the end of December 2023 and was completed last February in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. It is a four-story building above ground with two basement levels (site area of 10,595㎡, total floor area of 13,230.89㎡). The facility is systematically equipped with research facilities, office support facilities, common areas, and security systems to maximize research and development capabilities.
Designed with the concept of "Old & New Stacked Design," the integrated research center reflects both HiteJinro's 100-year history and its spirit of innovation. The exterior, shaped like layers stacked upon each other, symbolizes the century-long history, while the atrium structure in the center?featuring a wide-open ceiling or skylights to maximize natural lighting?emphasizes openness and represents innovation.
Through the integration of research centers, HiteJinro plans to efficiently manage personnel and research resources from the previously dual research centers and expand research fields to explore new business opportunities. The scope will extend beyond alcoholic beverage research to include additive research, new material development, packaging and container research, and other areas to support entry into new business sectors such as non-alcoholic beverages.
