Seoul City District Mayors' Association Supports Disaster Relief Supplies for Wildfire-Affected Areas

Additional Support Under Review Depending on Damage Situation
The Seoul Metropolitan Council of District Mayors (Chairman: Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun District) announced on the 1st that it delivered 4,800 disaster relief items, including dust masks and gloves, to Uiseong County in Gyeongbuk Province and Sancheong County in Gyeongnam Province.
The council, in consultation with the local governments of Uiseong County, co-chair of the Korea Association of Cities, Counties and Districts, and Sancheong County, where the wildfire continues to spread causing significant damage, provided urgently needed items for wildfire suppression such as disaster relief masks and work gloves.

Chairman Lee Pil-hyung said, “We hope this will be of some help for the swift recovery of the affected areas,” adding, “We will actively consider additional support measures depending on the wildfire damage situation.”
