Mokpo Coast Guard Practices Life Sharing Through Blood Donation of Love
Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Kwon Oseong) contributed to stabilizing the blood supply by holding a "Love Blood Donation" event for its staff at the exclusive pier on the 31st.
According to Mokpo Maritime Police, this blood donation event was carried out through the voluntary participation of staff, using the blood donation bus provided by the Gwangju Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross.
In particular, to address the blood supply shortage caused by low birth rates and an aging population, the "Love Blood Donation" event is held quarterly every year. Last year, about 70 people participated in blood donation.
Kwon Oseong, the chief who participated in the blood donation that day, said, "I hope the group blood donation by the maritime police will be of some help to patients in need of blood," and added, "We will continue to take the lead in spreading the culture of sharing life through regular blood donation events."
