The 2025 International Agricultural Expo will be held for seven days from October 23 to 29 at the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services in Sanpo-myeon, Naju, with the goal of driving AI-based agricultural innovation and the growth of K-Agriculture.

The International Agricultural Expo Secretariat announced that this year’s expo aims to serve as a platform for exploring the sustainability of agriculture in the era of climate crisis and leading global agricultural innovation. In particular, a wide range of innovative cases will be showcased, including AI-based smart farms, agricultural automation technologies, and digital agriculture solutions. Various programs combining agriculture and advanced technology are also being prepared.

The event venue will be organized into five exhibition halls: Win-Win Hall, Agriculture Future Hall, Agri-Industry Hall, Business Hall, and Healing & Wellness Hall. Through these exhibitions, the expo will present a vision for the future of innovative agriculture by integrating global food tech, agri-tech, and digital agriculture solutions. A variety of innovative technologies will be displayed, including agricultural robots (and drones), autonomous agricultural machinery, energy-saving technology using LED lighting, and smart farms. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience AI-based agricultural automation technologies firsthand.

This year’s expo especially focuses on significantly strengthening programs targeting youth and future generations. By operating a youth rural entrepreneurship market, young farmers will have the opportunity to meet consumers directly, supporting practical agricultural startups and settlement. In addition, the ‘Investment IR Forum’ will provide opportunities for networking between investors and agricultural startup companies.

The expo will also play a role as a business event actively supporting the overseas expansion of K-Agri-food. A total of 50 overseas buyers from 15 countries will be invited for export consultations.

An international academic conference will also be held to share global agricultural technology trends. Through various academic events related to the food tech and agri-tech industries, K-agricultural technology export and distribution, and the advancement of agricultural machinery, domestic and international agricultural experts are expected to discuss and exchange the latest trends in agricultural technology.

Kim Haengran, Director of Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services, said, “This event, held under the theme ‘Agricultural Innovation with AI, Nurturing Life with K-Agriculture,’ will be an important occasion for Korean agriculture to envision its future.”
