WHO "US Measles Cases Recently 378... 2 Deaths"
The number of measles infections continues to rise in the United States, where deaths from measles have occurred for the first time in 10 years.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report on measles infections notified in the United States as of the 28th (local time), there have been 378 cases of measles reported in 17 states from early January to the 20th. Two deaths have been recorded.
After a measles death was reported on the 26th of last month in Seobuck City, northwest Texas, the United States, additional deaths have occurred.
WHO stated, "The number of measles cases has increased compared to previous years," adding, "The majority of infected individuals are children who were either unvaccinated or whose vaccination status is uncertain."
