After voting at the early voting station, Jung stated, "As a responsible politician of Damyang, I feel regretful that we have to hold a by-election," and added, "However, I quietly cast my vote with the hope that this election will become a turning point for the development of Damyang."
He continued, "Due to the nature of elections, we inevitably have to campaign fiercely, but everyone is a resident of Damyang County and we must unite our efforts for regional development," and expressed, "I hope that after the election, we can demonstrate the strength of Damyang County by coming together through communication and harmony."
Jung also added, "Since the campaign has proceeded so far without major confusion, I hope that it will remain a fair competition and a clean election without any incidents until the end."
