Candidate Lee said, "As this is the first party-to-party election to be held in Damyang, I hope the people of Damyang will show their strength with a high voter turnout, just like the Yeonggwang and Gokseong by-elections."
He added, "This election is not only about choosing the administrative head of Damyang, but it is also an important election that will serve as a barometer for restoring Korean democracy, which has been undermined by the traitor Yoon Sukyeol. Every single vote from the people of Damyang will come together to start the wind of Yoon Sukyeol's impeachment and a change of government from Damyang."
He continued, "The question I heard most often from the people of Damyang during the campaign was, 'When on earth will Yoon Sukyeol be impeached?' The most practical action to demand Yoon Sukyeol's impeachment and removal is to participate in the vote and show the will of the people of Damyang."
Candidate Lee added, "I embraced Damyang in my heart as I went out into the world, and I returned to Damyang with the wider world in my heart. Together with the people of Damyang, I will design a new millennium."
Meanwhile, early voting for this Damyang County Governor by-election will take place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 28th and 29th, and the main vote will be held from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 2.
