Organic fertilizer is an environmentally friendly fertilizer made mainly from organic materials by utilizing and recycling animal excrement, microorganisms, and other resources. It is an essential agricultural material for eco-friendly farming, helping to maintain a healthy soil ecosystem and protect the environment.
This year, Jeollanam-do's support amounts to 20.1 billion KRW. For organic fertilizers such as mixed oil cake, 76,000 tons and 3.8 billion KRW will be provided, while for matured organic fertilizers such as livestock manure compost, 360,000 tons and 16.3 billion KRW will be supported.
The supported fertilizers include three types of organic fertilizers?mixed oil cake, mixed organic, and organic compound?and two types of matured organic fertilizers?livestock manure compost and compost. Depending on the fertilizer grade, subsidies ranging from 1,300 KRW to 1,600 KRW per 20kg bag will be provided.
Selected farmers must supply the received organic fertilizers from their local agricultural cooperative to the soil according to their farming schedule, and must collect the applied organic fertilizers by September this year. Farmers who do not collect their allocation will be considered to have forfeited, and in October, additional recipients will be selected and the remaining quantity will be distributed accordingly.
