Over 27,000 Flights and 4.54 Million Passengers on the Busan-Fukuoka Route Over 15 Years
Passenger Share Exceeds 50% Since 2013, Serving as a Bridge Between the Two Cities
Air Busan (CEO Jung Byungsub) announced that it will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the launch of its first international route, the Busan-Fukuoka route, on the 29th.
Air Busan began operating the Busan-Fukuoka route in March 2010 with two flights per week, and has since increased to 28 flights per week, maintaining steady operations for 15 years.
From the start of service until last month, the average load factor for this route has remained in the mid-80% range, with a total of approximately 27,000 flights and a cumulative passenger count of about 4,547,000. This accounts for around 17% of Air Busan's total international cumulative passenger count of over 27.32 million.
With continuous expansion of service over the past 15 years, Air Busan's market share on this route has consistently remained above 50%?except during the COVID-19 period?faithfully serving as a bridge between Busan and Fukuoka.
An Air Busan representative stated, "We are pleased to have served as a catalyst for exchange and cooperation between the two cities for such a long time," adding, "We will continue to prioritize safety and contribute to improving air transportation convenience."

According to the 2025 summer schedule (March 30 to October 25), Air Busan operates four daily flights (28 per week) on the Busan-Fukuoka route, offering a variety of schedules from morning to evening.
