Gwangju Seo District Council Raises Donations to Help Wildfire Victims
Gwangju Seo-gu Council (Chairperson Jeon Seungil) has launched an initiative to support residents affected by wildfires that recently broke out in various areas, including Sancheong and Hadong in Gyeongnam, Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, and Ulju in Ulsan.
According to Seo-gu Council on the 27th, the council members voluntarily agreed to collect donations in order to share the pain of the affected residents and provide practical assistance.
Chairperson Jeon Seungil stated, "We cannot turn a blind eye to the difficulties faced by residents who have lost their homes due to unexpected disasters," and added, "Together with the council members, we have prepared donations to offer even a small amount of support at the council level." He continued, "We will continue to provide ongoing attention and support so that the affected residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
The collected donations will be used for emergency relief and living support for the affected residents. Seo-gu Council also plans to continue seeking various measures for recovery and support in the future.
Meanwhile, Seo-gu Council plans to actively respond to disasters to ensure the rapid recovery of the local community and will continue support activities to ensure the safety and stability of residents' lives.
