View original imageOn this day, Mayor Shin received a special award from the association representing 1,691 social workers in Seongnam City, and presented commendations to 18 social welfare contributors who have devoted themselves in the welfare field and to the grand prize winner of the policy idea contest. He also received a proposal for improved treatment from young social workers.
In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Shin said, “I deeply thank all social workers who silently dedicate themselves in the welfare field,” and added, “It is personally meaningful that the day commemorating the enactment of the ‘Act on the Treatment and Status Improvement of Social Workers, etc.,’ which I sponsored as a member of the National Assembly, has been designated as Social Workers' Day.”
He continued, “Seongnam City will continue to do its best to improve treatment and promote the rights and interests so that social workers can work with pride in the welfare field.”
