Gwangmyeong-si Selected as an 'Active Administration Excellent Local Government' by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety

Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 27th that it was selected as an excellent local government in the '2024 Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration by Local Governments' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
In this evaluation, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety comprehensively assessed proactive administration across 243 local governments nationwide and selected 73 places, including Gwangmyeong City, in the top 30% as excellent local governments. The 'Comprehensive Evaluation Team for Proactive Administration,' composed of private experts, and a public evaluation team evaluated ▲system improvement ▲efforts to promote activation (support, publicity, education) ▲excellent cases and public perception.
Last year, Gwangmyeong City increased the selection of outstanding proactive public officials and provided unprecedented incentives, establishing a motivational foundation for public officials to carry out more innovative and proactive administration. The city selected a record-high total of 51 proactive public officials, with 19 in the first half and 32 in the second half of last year. Selected officials were given incentives such as special promotions, top-grade performance bonuses, additional points for achievements, and reward leave.
Along with this, the city newly introduced a proactive administration mileage system that provides immediate rewards, and in November of last year, established the 'Gwangmyeong City Proactive Administration Committee,' which is dedicated to reviewing and deciding on proactive administration matters.
