The participants donated 1,000 EM mud balls, made by kneading microbial fermentation solution and loess at the Anyangcheon multipurpose plaza, to the EM Life Sharing Movement, which will be used in future volunteer activities. They then contributed to water quality purification by throwing 2,000 EM mud balls, produced and fermented during the previous volunteer activity, into the Anyangcheon river.
EM mud balls are eco-friendly purifiers made by kneading beneficial microbial fermentation solution and loess. When introduced into rivers or streams, they gradually dissolve, purifying the water and eliminating odors. The restoration of river and stream ecosystems can also contribute to reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
