The large wildfire that started in Uiseong-gun, Gyeongbuk, spread to Andong and Cheongsong, prompting the Ministry of Justice Correction Headquarters to transfer 500 inmates, including those at Gyeongbuk Northern 2 Prison, on the 26th.
Initially, the Ministry of Justice planned to disperse and transfer a total of 3,500 inmates from Gyeongbuk Northern Prisons 1 to 3, Gyeongbuk Vocational Training Prison in Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk, and Andong Prison located in Pungsan-eup, Andong City, to correctional institutions under the Daegu Regional Correctional Office.
