Gangseo-gu Launches 'AI Administrative Innovation Task Force'
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) is accelerating the establishment of smart administration using artificial intelligence (AI). On the 26th, Gangseo-gu announced that it held the first meeting of the ‘AI Administrative Innovation Task Force (TF)’ launched on the 25th with the goal of ‘AI Gangseo.’

View original imageThe meeting was attended by about 30 people, including Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon, heads of departments, working-level managers, and AI private sector experts, who shared excellent AI cases used by local governments nationwide and discussed ways to apply them to district administration.
Previously, the district prepared a strategic plan to enhance the feasibility of the ‘AI Gangseo’ project. The task force, composed of the AI Administrative Innovation Team and the AI Resident Support Team, is identifying applicable AI administrative tasks and discussing detailed directions for each project.
To innovate work processes, paid ChatGPT user accounts have been distributed to all departments for use in administrative tasks. Additionally, a separate advisory group of AI technology policy experts will be operated to provide consultation and advice.

Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “AI administrative services start with creating a foundation for employees to utilize AI,” adding, “Based on this, we need to thoroughly examine how to apply AI projects in areas directly related to residents’ lives together with private experts and prioritize applying them in the most necessary fields.”
