Man in His 30s Arrested for Drug Use at Home After Parents Report to Police
Showed Violent Behavior Toward Mother Immediately After Drug Use
Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced on the 25th that they have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 30s, identified as A, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
A is suspected of using methamphetamine at his home in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, at around 12:34 a.m. the previous day.
A was arrested in the act by police who responded to a report from his parents. It is reported that immediately after using the drug, A exhibited violent behavior toward his mother.
As a result of a drug reagent test conducted by the police, A tested positive for methamphetamine, and A admitted to the crime, stating that he purchased an e-cigarette containing methamphetamine via social media.
Considering the risk of repeat offenses, the police have applied for an arrest warrant for A and plan to continue investigating drug distribution networks and related parties.
