Although he experienced a three-year hiatus due to heel growth pain, he overcame it with diligence and strong will, steadily improving his records after entering high school.
In September 2024, during his third year of high school, he set a new high school record of 10.30 seconds, drawing attention as a player with the potential to be the first in South Korea to break the 10-second barrier. After graduating from high school, he joined the Yecheon County Office track and field team in January and continues to pursue his challenges.
A KB Financial representative said, "He is a player whose strengths include diligence in completing even the toughest training schedules and a positive mindset in every competition," adding, "We will continue a warm partnership to help Joel Jin gain extensive experience and grow from a promising Korean athlete into a world-class track and field athlete."
