Korea Federation of SMEs Holds Briefing on Developing ESG Leading Companies and Toolkit by Industry
Production of Industry-Specific Toolkits for Five Cooperatives
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 25th that it held a 'Briefing Session on Fostering Industry-Specific ESG Leading Companies and Developing Toolkits.'
The briefing session, held at the Kbiz building in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, was an opportunity to introduce support projects aimed at enhancing the voluntary ESG responsiveness of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It was attended by employees of SMEs engaged in various industries such as dyes, paints, and heavy electrical equipment.
The session consisted of basic ESG education for SMEs, introduction to the utilization of industry-specific toolkits, and presentations of best practices. Kbiz has produced industry-specific toolkits for a total of 17 industries so far, and this year plans to produce 'Industry-Specific ESG Toolkits' for five cooperatives, containing ▲industry-specific ESG trends ▲important ESG agendas ▲practical measures by topic, to support the spread of customized ESG management among SME cooperatives. Additionally, SMEs recommended by the selected cooperatives will receive free ESG level diagnosis, management consulting, and ESG education. This year, ESG educational videos by industry will be produced so that SMEs can independently utilize the toolkits even after the project ends.
