Suwon City Recognized for Excellent 'Proactive Administration'... Selected as Outstanding Institution
Gyeonggi Province's Suwon City was selected as an excellent institution in last year's proactive administration evaluation.
On the 25th, Suwon City announced that it was selected as the best institution by ranking first among basic local governments in the '2025 Local Government Proactive Administration Comprehensive Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. With this, Suwon City has been selected as the top basic local government (best institution) for three consecutive years.
In this evaluation, Suwon City received high marks in all areas including the establishment of a proactive administration promotion plan, efforts to revitalize the system, implementation performance, and perception.
Suwon City first received high scores for the Suwon-type integrated care project called ‘Saebit Care,’ where village communities take the lead in identifying neighbors in need of care and providing them with essential care services to eliminate care gaps.
In addition, Suwon City has established a ‘Proactive Administration Promotion Plan’ consisting of 18 tasks across five fields and is actively working to create ‘Suwon Special City that realizes proactive administration in daily life.’
The execution plan includes ▲ preferential treatment and exceptional incentives for proactive administration public officials ▲ establishment of a prevention system to eradicate passive administration ▲ promotion of proactive administration together with Suwon City's public institutions.
