Gwangju Shinsegae Continues 'Love S-BOX' Event This Year
Achievement of 540 Million KRW in Cumulative Donations
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Donghun) announced on the 20th that it held the 'Love S-BOX' event again this year to help neighbors in need within the region.
Gwangju Shinsegae has continued this event for nine years since its launch in 2017, aiming to fulfill its role as a local corporation by supporting underprivileged groups in the area.

View original imageThe event, held at the Gwangju Shinsegae Grand Training Room, was attended by Kim Youngcheon, Managing Director of Gwangju Shinsegae, employees, Byun Jeonggeun, Head of the Gwangju Regional Office of ChildFund Korea, officials from Seo-gu District, and representatives from local comprehensive social welfare centers.
The Love S-BOX program is carried out in cooperation with five welfare centers in Seo-gu District, Gwangju, led by Gwangju Shinsegae and ChildFund Korea.
Every month, 100 households in need receive customized packages containing daily necessities and ready-to-eat meal products purchased with donations from Gwangju Shinsegae.
Gwangju Shinsegae donates 5 million KRW each month to fund the Love S-BOX, with the cumulative total expected to reach 540 million KRW by the end of this year.
Lee Donghun, CEO of Gwangju Shinsegae, said, "The ultimate goal of Gwangju Shinsegae's support for the underprivileged is to help them not lose hope even in difficult circumstances," and added, "We will continue to pay close attention so that young people can become talents who will lead the future of Korea beyond the local community."
