Suncheon City Provides Safe Home Sets for Single-Mother Households
Applications accepted until April 17
Including LED safety whistle and more
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Kwangkyu) announced on the 19th that it is recruiting recipients for the "Safe Home Set Support Project for Single-Women Households and Single-Parent Families" to enhance the safety of women living alone, who are vulnerable to crime.
The Safe Home Set consists of five items: an LED safety whistle, window lock, delivery label eraser, self-defense spray, and door lock fingerprint protection film. These items are provided free of charge.
The support is available to single-women households and single-parent families residing in Suncheon City, with the head of household under the age of 65. For single-parent families, the household must be a legally recognized single-parent family with children born after 2007.
If the number of applicants exceeds the available sets, priority will be given based on the following criteria: female crime victims, people with disabilities, basic livelihood security recipients, and those in the second-lowest income bracket. Other applicants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
The application period is open until April 17, and applications can be submitted online via email, in person, or by mail. Applicants need to prepare an application form, consent to the use of personal information, and a copy of their resident registration.
A city official stated, "We will continue to provide support so that single-women households and single-parent families can live in a safer environment."
