View original imageThe Gwangju Human Resources Lifelong Education Promotion Agency (President Lee Chunmun, hereinafter referred to as "the Agency") and the Gwangju Social Service Institute Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town (Director Jeong Kyungnam, hereinafter referred to as "Hyoryeong Town") announced on the 19th that they signed a business agreement on the 18th at the Hyoryeong Town conference room to establish a lifelong learning system for the elderly and to promote lifelong education in the region.
This agreement was prepared to ensure the smooth implementation of the "Naeil-i Bit-Si-Na" project, which is being promoted as a consortium by five autonomous districts and related organizations in preparation for a super-aged society. In line with this, the Agency designated Hyoryeong Town as the "No. 2 Lifelong Learning Base Campus" to strengthen lifelong learning specialized for the elderly, and plans to develop customized lifelong education programs for seniors and expand them to citizens.
Through this agreement, the two organizations pledged to make efforts for the activation of regional lifelong education, including ▲establishment and operation of governance ▲support for the development and operation of regional lifelong education activation programs ▲support for employment, entrepreneurship, and social contribution activities for program graduates ▲provision of facilities, spaces, and equipment owned by each institution.
Lee Chunmun, President of the Agency, emphasized, "The importance of lifelong learning for the elderly is growing day by day," and added, "Through collaboration between Hyoryeong Town and the Agency, we will discover excellent models and maximize project synergy."
Jeong Kyungnam, Director of Hyoryeong Town, said, "It is very meaningful to have the opportunity to identify and solve local community issues together with the Agency," and added, "Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we will expand support in the field of lifelong learning so that seniors can enjoy a vibrant and happy later life."
