Since 2008, Honam University has established a new role model for ‘university MT’ by being the first university nationwide to launch the ‘Healthy MT’ program, which combines major-related talents with community service. Since 2017, the university has transitioned to the ‘Field Trip’ (FT) program, providing a variety of community service activities that utilize the unique characteristics of each major.
With the full-scale implementation of the RISE project starting this year, which aims to strengthen close partnerships and co-growth between universities and local communities, Honam University’s FT program is being recognized as a prime example of a local university fulfilling its core role directly in the community.
