Uiryeong County to Hold City Brand Design Contest for Symbols
Online Applications Accepted Until April 11;
Results to Be Announced on April 25
Uiryeong County in Gyeongnam announced on the 18th that it will hold the "Uiryeong County City Brand Design Contest" to create a representative brand for the county.
This contest is a project open to anyone in Korea who is interested in Uiryeong, regardless of age or gender, and has been organized to generate outstanding ideas and creative designs.
The theme of the contest is to create a city brand design that captures the newly transforming image of Uiryeong and reflects its future value. Submissions can be made until the 11th of next month via the professional design platform Loudsourcing (www.loud.kr) or the Uiryeong County website.
The submitted works will be reviewed by external experts, and a total of five final works will be selected: one grand prize, two excellence prizes, and two encouragement prizes.
The final results will be announced on the Uiryeong County website on April 25.
The grand prize winner will receive 3 million KRW, the excellence prize winners will receive 1 million KRW each, and the encouragement prize winners will receive 500,000 KRW each.
The winning designs will go through expert review and design refinement processes and will be used as the official city brand symbol representing Uiryeong County.
An official from Uiryeong County said, "We ask for your interest and participation so that many works expressing the diverse charms of Uiryeong can be submitted for symbols that reflect Uiryeong's new values, such as 'Korea's No.1 wealthy district' and 'the central hub of Gyeongnam with convenient transportation.'"
