Prosecutors Request Supplementary Investigation into Kkaebi Market Traffic Accident Causing 12 Casualties
The prosecution has requested the police to conduct supplementary investigations regarding the incident in which a driver in his 70s drove a vehicle into Kkaebi Market in Mokdong, Seoul, causing 12 casualties.

The Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Park Seong-min) announced on the 18th that it has requested supplementary investigations into Kim Mo (74), who is accused of causing death and injury by negligence under the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling. The Yangcheon Police Station must complete the supplementary investigation within three months.
The prosecution judged that additional thorough investigations are necessary as more than 10 people were injured and there were fatalities in the accident caused by Kim, and thus requested the supplementary investigation.

Previously, Kim is accused of driving a vehicle into shops and hitting pedestrians at Kkaebi Market located in Mokdong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, on December 31 of last year. As a result of this accident, a 40-year-old male fruit shop owner, Mr. A, died and 11 others were injured.
