The Gumi Nakdonggang Park Golf Course, established on the banks of the Nakdong River, was created to allow citizens to enjoy leisure activities in a nature-friendly environment.
Currently, a total of eight locations with 243 holes (including a park golf course for people with disabilities) are in operation, making it the largest in North Gyeongsang Province. As the courses are open to the public free of charge, the usage rate among citizens is high.

The committee members stated, "Operational measures must be established to ensure that all citizens can use the facilities fairly," and added, "In particular, efforts should be made to maximize the advantages of park golf courses by considering their connection to revitalizing the local economy and the tourism industry."
Committee Chair Kim Jaeu emphasized, "To ensure consistent operation of the park golf courses, the managing entity must be clearly defined and a long-term vision should be established," and continued, "Gumi City should actively seek ways to connect the courses with the tourism industry."
He also requested close cooperation with the city council regarding the selection of the operating entity and the determination of usage fees.
