Gyeongbuk Content Korea Lab to Support Creators and Early-Stage Startups

Customized Assistance from Content Planning to Commercialization
Gyeongbuk Content Korea Lab (hereafter 'Gyeongbuk CKL'), operated by the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation Content Promotion Center, is launching a 2025 support program for content creators and early-stage companies. Applications for this support program will be accepted from the 17th to the 31st.
The program targets creators and companies within three years of establishment located in the Gyeongbuk region, and provides support in four areas: ▲Content Convergence Factory ▲Content Business ▲Content Acceleration ▲Promotion and Marketing.
The Content Convergence Factory is aimed at creators with creative ideas that combine content and technology. A total of 10 teams will be selected, each receiving up to 8 million KRW in support.
Eligible applicants include creators and university students (including those on leave of absence) residing in the Gyeongbuk region, as well as creators with ideas utilizing local cultural resources.
The Content Business support program targets creators and companies possessing various content IPs (intellectual property) such as webtoons, characters, stories, videos, music, and immersive content. Selected teams can receive up to 20 million KRW in funding along with customized consulting.
The Content Acceleration sector is a program supporting content companies within three years of establishment, providing up to 20 million KRW for prototype production. It also offers programs such as business model diagnostics, one-on-one tailored mentoring, IR pitching training, and camps to help companies grow.
The Promotion and Marketing sector is a program that supports Gyeongbuk region content companies and creators in entering domestic and international markets. Five selected companies (or creators) will receive up to 10 million KRW each and be provided with individualized promotional opportunities to strengthen their market competitiveness.
Lee Jongsoo, Director of the Gyeongbuk Content Promotion Center, said, "This support program will help strengthen the capabilities of creators and companies in the Gyeongbuk region and serve as an opportunity to enhance the competitiveness of the local content industry," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering support in the future."
