The main points of this proactive on-site inspection include: ▲identifying additional areas vulnerable to landslides and implementing safety measures ▲updating the resident contact system ▲comprehensively inspecting and maintaining evacuation shelters in landslide-prone areas.
In particular, the province will conduct field surveys of areas at risk of landslides and carry out comprehensive inspections of various development sites within forests. For areas requiring preventive measures, it plans to install erosion control facilities and designate them as additional landslide-prone areas to establish a systematic management plan.
Additionally, the province will identify individuals living alone in the mountains and those subject to evacuation near areas at risk of landslides, and will take safety management measures for residents in emergencies, such as sending emergency disaster text messages and providing one-on-one evacuation support.
Furthermore, before the start of the summer forest disaster response period (May 15 to October 15), evacuation drills will be conducted in early May for residents of landslide-prone areas and related organizations. The province will also actively promote disaster preparedness education and public action guidelines to strengthen residents' disaster response capabilities.
