View original imageGokseong County, South Jeolla Province (County Governor Jo Sangrae) announced on the 14th that it held an 'Elder Abuse Prevention Campaign' event on the 13th at Jongbang Village in Ip-myeon, together with the Jeonnam Eastern Elderly Protection Agency.
The campaign was organized to raise awareness among local seniors about the importance of protecting the rights of the elderly and preventing elder abuse. It particularly emphasized the importance of early prevention, focusing on preventing cases of abuse that may occur among the elderly population.
Jo Sangrae, the county governor, stated, "Through this campaign, we recognize the seriousness of elder abuse, which has become a social issue, and highlight the need for neighbors' attention and consideration to eradicate elder abuse." He added, "We will continue to collaborate with the Elderly Protection Agency to take the lead in making Gokseong a safe and happy place for seniors."
