Four Designated and Six Open Call Projects Selected
Daegu Catholic University has been finally selected for all 10 projects (4 designated, 6 open call) under the Ministry of Education's RISE (Regional Innovation-led University Support System) initiative, securing the largest project funding in the Gyeongbuk region with a total of 72.8 billion KRW.
The selected projects include, in the designated category: ▲RISE U-Neulbom Project ▲K-U City Project Bonghwa-gun Anti-Aging ▲K-U City Project Cheongsong-gun Bio-Medi ▲K-U City Project Chilgok-gun Advanced Agricultural Industry. In the open call category: ▲Gyeongbuk Innovation-Type Natural Product New Drug Bio Industry Specialized R&D ▲Regional Settlement AI·DX Innovation Talent Development Platform Establishment ▲Gyeongbuk-Type Mobility Innovation University ▲Gyeongbuk-Type AI-Based Bio·Health Practical Talent Training ▲Gyeongbuk-Type Higher Lifelong Education Ecosystem for Strengthening Adult Learners' Job Competency ▲Gyeongbuk-Type Immigrant Social Integration Support System Establishment. All applied projects were selected.
Through the 10 RISE projects, Daegu Catholic University plans to foster practical talents linked to local industries, support graduates' settlement in the region, and lay the foundation for sustainable growth in partnership with the local community and the university.
Additionally, by leading the Neulbom Project in collaboration with 23 partner universities, Daegu Catholic University aims to address educational imbalances in the Gyeongbuk area and provide elementary students with a variety of high-quality educational opportunities, thereby contributing to narrowing the educational gap.
