Dongnam Regional Nuclear Medical Center Signs Funeral Welfare Fund Agreement with Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council
Up to 2 Billion KRW in Funeral Support Funds Provided by Criteria
Four Family Lounges Opened at the Funeral Hall
Dongnam Regional Nuclear Medical Center (Director Changhoon Lee) signed an agreement with the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Association (Acting Chairman Jinho Lee) on the 12th at the medical center's Welfare Center to provide funeral hall usage support funds aimed at improving healthcare welfare for residents of Seosaeng-myeon.
According to this agreement, as the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Association supports 2 billion KRW for the establishment and operation of the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Center at Dongnam Regional Nuclear Medical Center, the medical center will provide funeral support funds for up to 20 years within the total amount of 2 billion KRW to funeral hall users recognized by the association, based on individual support levels and criteria.

View original imageRecently, the funeral hall at Dongnam Regional Nuclear Medical Center underwent a second-floor remodeling to create four family lounges, which are convenient facilities for the bereaved and their families. This is expected to greatly increase resident satisfaction.
The family lounges are equipped with beds, showers, sofas, and smart TVs, providing a comfortable space for bereaved families to bid farewell to their loved ones.
Director Changhoon Lee stated, "As a public institution established to expand social acceptance of nuclear power plants and provide advanced medical care to local residents, our primary duty is to prioritize the health of the community. Based on our funeral welfare improvement project, we will further contribute to the healthcare welfare of Seosaeng-myeon residents and complete essential public healthcare so that residents can live here with peace of mind."
He added, "We are also planning long-term infrastructure enhancements to meet the healthcare service needs of the community. We ask for your support so that we can introduce advanced equipment, expand our medical services, and grow into a robust public medical institution with 500 beds."
Acting Chairman Jinho Lee said, "Through this agreement, we can now offer public healthcare services that Seosaeng-myeon residents can truly experience. Dongnam Regional Nuclear Medical Center is already recognized as the most trusted and preferred hospital by local residents. The Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Association will actively cooperate so that residents can trust the medical center, lead safe and healthy daily lives, and grow and prosper together."
