Mayor Jo stated, "The Jinju K-Entrepreneurship spirit, which embodies the entrepreneurial values of the four founding families?LG, GS, Samsung, and Hyosung?that grew and interacted around Jinju, was the driving force behind Korea's economic miracle in the past century. Jinju City is making various efforts to spread this Jinju K-Entrepreneurship spirit globally, such as establishing the Korea Entrepreneurship Hall, hosting the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship International Forum, developing the K-Geosang tourism route, and creating an international youth village."
He continued, "Recently, Jinju K-Entrepreneurship has been gaining attention from academia and the business world as a new spirit of the times to overcome the crises and challenges facing our society and to open a better future. The Malaysian government's Madani spirit, which emphasizes core values such as sustainability, dignity, and trust, shares many similarities with Jinju K-Entrepreneurship. It is important to pass on and develop Jinju K-Entrepreneurship to future generations, especially as Korea seeks a new economic leap forward centered on the aerospace industry."
During the lecture, the audience expressed amazement at the fact that the founders of global companies LG and Samsung originated from the same region, and showed great interest in the unique, practical Confucianism of Korea that influenced these entrepreneurial spirits.
After the lecture, a variety of questions and comments from the audience followed. When a Help University student asked about strategies for responding to the era of artificial intelligence (AI), Mayor Jo Kyu-il replied, "If we uphold the Jinju K-Entrepreneurship spirit, which respects humanity and values community, AI can be used in a positive way that benefits humanity."
Another student commented, "I am glad to learn about Jinju K-Entrepreneurship. I hope the MOU between Jinju City and Help University will provide Malaysian students with a great opportunity to learn about Korean entrepreneurship."
Paul Chan, President of Help University, said, "I hope today's event will lead to a visit by a Help University delegation to Jinju to experience Jinju K-Entrepreneurship firsthand, and that Help University will participate in the upcoming 'Jinju K-Entrepreneurship International Forum' scheduled for October," expressing his high expectations for Jinju K-Entrepreneurship.
This enthusiasm continued at the senior group meeting after the special lecture. President Paul Chan and other participants shared various opinions on the upcoming visit of the Help University delegation to Jinju in October and the organization of international forum sessions.
