Suwon Gwanggyo 'Gyeonggi Convergence Town' Attached Parking Lot to Become Paid from April 1
The Gyeonggi Convergence Town affiliated parking lot will switch to paid parking starting April 1.
The Gyeonggi Convergence Town affiliated parking lot, located at the Gwanggyo Government Complex in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, is jointly used by six institutions: Gyeonggi Provincial Government, Gyeonggi Provincial Council, Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Gyeonggi Library.
Gyeonggi Province explained that the decision to implement paid parking was made to improve parking convenience for visitors to the government complex and to resolve space shortages caused by indiscriminate parking.
The parking lot operates 24 hours a day, year-round, with the first 30 minutes free. After that, an additional fee of 400 KRW is charged every 10 minutes, with a maximum daily charge of 18,000 KRW.
Pre-installed unmanned payment machines are located at 24 spots within the underground parking lot, including the visitor entrances for each of the six institutions. Parking fees can only be paid by card; cash payments are not accepted.
