DB Insurance Obtains Exclusive Usage Rights for Two Items Including 'Tae Aisang Maternal Diagnosis Fee'
DB Insurance announced on the 10th that it has obtained exclusive usage rights for 6 months each for the ‘Maternal Management Diagnosis Fee due to Specific Fetal Abnormalities’ and the ‘Vitiligo Diagnosis Fee,’ which were launched on January 23.
Following the acquisition of 2 exclusive usage rights last month, DB Insurance has secured a total of 4 exclusive usage rights this year.
DB Insurance developed the Maternal Management Diagnosis Fee due to Specific Fetal Abnormalities in line with the government policy to support part of the medical expenses for pregnant women’s health management through the national voucher program and to create a safer childbirth environment. This insurance pays benefits only once upon the first diagnosis of maternal management due to specific fetal abnormalities. It helps to more closely monitor fetal health and prevent risk factors for both the pregnant woman and the fetus.
As the risk of fetal abnormalities increases with maternal age, this product aims to alleviate the anxiety of high-risk pregnant women and enable early detection of developmental disorders, malformations, or genetic abnormalities in the fetus, allowing for preventive measures or treatment plans. It is expected to contribute to optimizing the health of mothers and fetuses and reducing social costs by preventing serious diseases.
The ‘Vitiligo Diagnosis Fee’ coverage was developed for the prevention and early response to serious diseases. Vitiligo is a condition where white patches appear on the skin due to a deficiency of melanocytes. The insured amount is guaranteed only once upon diagnosis. Since vitiligo tends to gradually spread to affected areas if untreated and shows the highest incidence rate among those under their 20s, early management and prevention before active social life are important.
