Yeongdeok County Recruiting Participants for Carbon Neutrality Point System in Automotive Sector
Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province is recruiting participants for the Carbon Neutral Point System in the automobile sector, which supports drivers with up to 100,000 KRW for reducing their vehicle mileage to help cut greenhouse gas emissions.

View original imageThe Automobile Carbon Neutral Point System provides incentives of up to 100,000 KRW in December, based on the reduction in average daily driving distance before and during participation in the program.
The application period is from the 17th to the 27th of this month for the first round, and from April 7th to 11th for the second round. A total of 105 vehicles (one per person) will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible vehicles are non-commercial passenger cars and vans with up to 12 seats, excluding eco-friendly vehicles such as electric, hybrid, and hydrogen cars.
To participate, sign up as a member on the Carbon Point Automobile website and submit an application. After applying, you must take and upload real-time photos of your vehicle’s license plate and dashboard.
Additionally, Yeongdeok County is also operating the Carbon Neutral Point System in the energy sector to reduce carbon emissions in daily life. Incentives are provided based on the reduction rate of electricity, tap water, and city gas usage in homes and commercial facilities. Participation in the energy sector is open at any time, and you can join via the ‘Carbon Neutral Point Energy’ website or by visiting the Environmental Sanitation Division of Yeongdeok County.
