View original imageAt around 2:25 PM on the 5th, two cargo trucks collided near the Namji Interchange (IC) on the Jungbu Naeryuk Expressway in Chilseo-myeon, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, on the Nakdong River Bridge in Changnyeong.
According to the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency Highway Patrol and the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, a 16-ton cargo truck driving in the second lane of the Nakdong River Bridge stopped on the shoulder after noticing smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle, and a 5-ton cargo truck collided with it, causing a fire.
Both cargo trucks were completely burned in the accident, but there were no casualties.
The fire was fully extinguished by the responding fire authorities at around 4:13 PM, but due to the aftermath of the accident, traffic congestion occurred over a 10 km section behind the accident site.
