Daejeon City to Provide 3 Million Won Support for Replacing Children's School Buses with LPG Vehicles
Applications Accepted from the 5th to the 28th
Daejeon City announced that it will promote a project to support the conversion of children's school vehicles to LPG vehicles in order to improve air quality and protect children's health.
The target beneficiaries are vehicle owners who scrap their diesel vehicles, purchase new LPG vehicles, and register them as children's school buses.
The support covers a total of 16 vehicles, with a fixed subsidy of 3 million won per vehicle.
Applications can be submitted from the 5th through the Integrated Vehicle Emissions Information System.
Priority will be given to diesel vehicles that are currently used as children's school vehicles or have been reported as paid transportation vehicles for children’s commuting or facility use.
Moon Changyong, Director of Environment at Daejeon City, said, "A clear and clean air environment is the most precious asset we can pass on to future generations," and added, "We ask for the interest and active participation of many citizens in policies that protect children's health and improve air quality."
