Each eligible student will receive 100,000 KRW in local currency (Paju Pay) once. The application period is until July 15, and the enrollment celebration fund will be paid the month following the application date. Applications should primarily be submitted online through the Paju City website, but if online application is difficult (such as proxy applications or not possessing local currency), in-person applications can be made at the administrative welfare center with jurisdiction over the resident registration address starting from April 16.
To apply online, applicants must sign up for the Gyeonggi Local Currency app and register Paju Pay in their name using their personal mobile phone.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju said, “We support the energetic start of children through the elementary school enrollment celebration fund,” and added, “We will continue to strive to create an educational city Paju where both parents and children are happy by realizing practical educational welfare.”
