According to the Incheon Fire Headquarters on the 27th, the fire occurred around 10:43 a.m. the previous day on the 4th floor of a villa in Simgok-dong, Seo-gu. A (12-year-old) girl identified as A, who was at home during the fire, was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest with second-degree burns on her face but has not yet regained consciousness. It was confirmed that A was home alone as her parents had gone out during her elementary school vacation.
About 10㎡ inside the house and home appliances were burned, causing property damage estimated at approximately 3.9 million won (according to the fire department). Seo-gu authorities plan to provide emergency living expenses and daily necessities to the affected household.

The fire department deployed 71 personnel and 19 pieces of equipment to the scene and succeeded in extinguishing the fire within 51 minutes. The fire is presumed to have started inside the room, and the police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause. At the scene, an electrical anomaly behind the TV and a portable gas stove with traces of having been used to cook ramen were found. A fire official stated, "To determine the cause of the fire, we have requested an inspection of the portable gas stove by the National Forensic Service."
