Muan County: "Promoting Social Participation and Income Growth for People with Disabilities"
Providing Customized Jobs for 59 People Across Five Projects
Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) is implementing a job creation project for people with disabilities, who are considered a vulnerable group in employment, to expand their social participation and increase their income.
According to the county on the 27th, people with disabilities are assigned to town and township offices, social welfare facilities, and organizations, where they perform tasks such as office assistance, program support, environmental maintenance, massage services at senior centers, and participate in Jeonnam-style rights-centered public jobs for people with severe disabilities.
This year, the county is investing 1.07 billion KRW to provide customized jobs for 59 people across five projects in collaboration with four private agencies. By project, there are 17 full-time positions, 5 part-time positions, 13 welfare-type jobs, 12 specialized jobs (dispatch of visually impaired massage therapists), and 12 Jeonnam-style positions.
Governor Kim San stated, "We will do our best to meet the employment needs of people with disabilities who wish to work by continuously discovering and supporting new job opportunities, so that they can achieve self-sufficiency and independence."
