Pukyong National University Awards 'Faces That Brightened the School in 2024'
121 Individuals and Groups Honored with the President's Award
for Outstanding Achievements in National Competitions and More
National Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) held the 'Faces That Brightened the School in 2024' awards ceremony on the afternoon of the 24th at the university headquarters' 2nd-floor conference room.
Over the past year, National Pukyong National University selected 121 students (15 individuals and 106 members from 22 teams) who enhanced the school's reputation and honor through nationwide competition awards, research achievements, and volunteer activities, and presented them with the President's Award on this day.
In the competition category, 47 students received honors, including students from the Department of Electrical Engineering who won the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the '2024 Engineering Festival Creative Integrated Design Competition' and students from the Department of Energy Resources Engineering who won the grand prize at the '2024 5th Mine-Tech Festa Innovation Technology Competition.'
In the field of honor promotion, 51 students received the President's Award, including business administration students who won the Korean finals of the '2023/24 CFA Institute Research Challenge Corporate Investment Analysis Presentation Competition' and fashion design students who received the Best Design Award at the '2024 Imagination Fashion Runway.'
In the volunteer category, 23 students, including members of the General Club Union and the PKNU Student Volunteer Group, received the President's Award.

Since 2006, National Pukyong National University has been selecting individuals or groups to award the President's Award to commend and encourage students who have contributed to the local community through awards, excellent research achievements, or good deeds.
