Ulsan City Launches Full-Scale 1 Company 1 Facility Partnership for Warmth Sharing... A Warm Link with Welfare Facilities for the Disabled
Public-Private Joint Volunteer Activities for Disability Welfare Facilities
"Creating a Warm Ulsan Together"
Six Companies and Six Organizations to Participate Starting in March
Ulsan City will actively promote the ‘1 Company·1 Facility Partnership Warmth Sharing’ public-private joint volunteer activities for disability welfare facilities to improve the environment of these facilities and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities.
This volunteer activity is a public-private cooperation project involving not only Ulsan City employees but also companies, organizations, and general citizens, and will be implemented starting from March this year.
First, every Wednesday will be designated as ‘Volunteer Day,’ and volunteer activities will be conducted regularly once per quarter to establish a continuous support system. Through this, partnerships will be formed between 14 residential facilities for people with disabilities and Ulsan City Hall’s departments, public institutions, companies, and organizations to carry out steady volunteer activities.
The main activities include ▲maintenance of the facility’s interior and exterior environment ▲support for programs for people with disabilities ▲assistance with daily living (meal support, bathing assistance, etc.) ▲administrative support ▲support for outdoor activities (walks, experiential activities, camping, etc.).
Six companies including Hyundai Motor Company, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, S-OIL, Korea Zinc, BNK Ulsan Gyeongnam Bank, and the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, as well as six organizations including Ulsan Saemaul Association, Ulsan City Council for the Promotion of Correct Living, Ulsan Branch of the Korea Freedom Federation, Ulsan Women’s Volunteer Association, International Lions Club District 355-D, and Ulsan City Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association, will participate.
Additionally, general citizens will be able to join volunteer activities every Wednesday through the Ulsan City Volunteer Center.
Ulsan City plans to actively cooperate by guiding registration on the 1365 Volunteer Portal to recognize volunteer hours and provide accident insurance, as well as by identifying the activity details, frequency, required personnel, and participation conditions of the disability welfare facilities.
In particular, through this project, Ulsan City aims to revitalize the volunteer culture that has stagnated since COVID-19, expand community interest and support for disability welfare facilities, and ensure that support is regular and systematic rather than one-time volunteer activities.
