Baekseok University Establishes Air Force ROTC... Selects 6 Cadets for First Class
Baekseok University announced on the 20th that it has established an Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps (Air Force ROTC) on the first floor of the Changjo Building on campus.
Baekseok University received approval from the Ministry of National Defense to establish the Air Force ROTC in December 2023 and recruited participants last year.
The inaugural ROTC commander is Lieutenant Colonel Cho Younggi. For the 54th class of the Air Force ROTC and the first class at Baekseok University, a total of six candidates were selected, including five male students and one female student.
Song Kishin, Executive Vice President of Baekseok University, said in his congratulatory remarks, "The establishment of the Air Force ROTC will greatly contribute to our university's military education and the nurturing of young talent."
Son Seokrang, Commander of the Air Force Education and Training Command, also congratulated, saying, "I would like to thank the members of Baekseok University for their efforts in establishing the Air Force ROTC," and added, "Welcome to the Republic of Korea Air Force, which is reaching for the sky and space."
